Do I need to install an app to use the landlord portal?
No. The landlord portal is a web-based dashboard — accessible from any browser on desktop or mobile. For maintenance approvals specifically, you do not even need to log in: a secure WhatsApp link takes you directly to the approval page.
How do I see how much rent has been collected from my tenants?
Your dashboard shows active leases, monthly income, and pending transfers at a glance. The "My Transfers" section provides a detailed history of every completed transfer with date, amount, unit, and proof document.
Can I see which tenants are late on rent?
Yes. The "My Tenants" section shows each tenant's payment status. You can see outstanding balances and overdue rent cycles across your units without contacting the agency.
How are maintenance approvals communicated to me?
When a maintenance job requires your approval, Maktabi sends you a WhatsApp message with a unique secure link. Opening the link shows you the job description, any photos the tenant sent, and an AI-generated cost estimate PDF from Zoho Books. You tap Approve or Reject — no portal login required. Every transfer notification from Maktabi shows the gross rent collected, the commission percentage, and the net amount transferred. These rates match the agreement stored on your landlord profile in the system — no calculation is hidden.
Can I use the portal in Arabic?
Yes. The portal is fully bilingual — Arabic (right-to-left) and English. You can switch between them at any time. All fields, labels, property names, and currency figures display correctly in both languages.
